ارادت ان تسعدني بكلماتها فلما قراتها بكيت
ارادت ان تلعب معي لعبة الحبل تراخيت لاجلها فسحبته فبكيت
ارادت ان تضمد جروحي فلما لمستها بيديها بكيت
ارادت ان تعاملني بلطف فلما ضمتني الى صدرها بكيت
ارادت ان تعلمني الكتابة فلما كتبت اسمها بكيت
ارادت ان تعلمني كيف انظم القصائد فلما كتبت عن حبي لها بكيت
ارادت ان تعلمني الغوص فلما رأيت اللؤللؤ والمرجان تذكرت فمها وشفتيها فبكيت
ارادت ان تعلمني الصلاة فلما رفعت يداي الى السماء دعوت الله ان يقربها لي وبكيت

She wanted to teach me how to pray, so when I raised my hands to the sky, I prayed to God to bring her closer to me, and I wept
