المرايا اشتكت فيني المها
شفت لي طفل ٍ بكت حزنه عيوني
باح لي اوجاع عمره ماكتمها
شقيت اوراق الحسافا واكتبوني
ومسحت عن روحه توالي وهمها
يارفيق العمر لا ترحل بدوني
خلنا تالي الليالي نغتنمها

I tore the papers of regret and wrote me down
And I erased from his soul the succession of its worries

We are the remnants, we don't seize that which we are. There are times to reflect, as our reflection tells us, but do not stagnate in the arms of nostalgia....for, there is nothing there for us, the future is now as it is then and we take it by the horns.
